George Michael began his career in the early 80's as part of the duo known as Wham U.K. with bandmate and
close friend, Andrew Ridgeley. By the mid 80's Wham U.K had become a household name on both sides of the atlantic with
the release of their smash quadrulple platinum 2nd album, "Make it Big" The duo then dropped the U.K. from their name
and became simply known as Wham. George became the sex symbol of the group and gain enormous success. After 5 years
in the duo, George decided to go solo due to a disagreement with the duo's management firm. Wham disbanded
in 1986. George has had a slew of of hits throughout his career,but none more popular than the release of his debut
solo effort, "Faith". Which generated 7 top ten hits. Most went number one. After a 6 year abscence, George is
back with a new CD, "Patience" which features the hit single ,"Amazing".
